Exploring Kansas Crops

There are six units of instruction within this guide. Each unit houses several activities and worksheets. On the first page of the unit, you will find an outline of the unit, the outcomes and the educator introduction. On the following page, there are educator resources which apply to all the activities within the unit, as well as vocabulary words.

Vocabulary words are bold throughout the units and activities. Finally you will find a story to be used as the "Class Introduction," as well as a word search with several vocabulary words.

The activities may be used alone or with the unit. Each activity includes outcomes, background information and discussion questions, with applicable worksheets directly following. Once a unit has been completed, students can complete the evaluation questions, titled "What I Know About..." and the vocabulary review. Answers to the questions can be found throughout the activities and on the "Class Introduction" sheet. In the final section of the educator's guide, you will find the glossary, resources, appendix and key.
