Spokespersons
The Kansas Wheat Speak For Wheat program is both an educational opportunity and a public service program.
Nearly
20 spokespersons are provided training sessions on consumer information
about wheat, wheat foods, nutrition and preparation methods. The staff
works with spokespersons to schedule and provide information for
meetings, classes, exhibits and media opportunities in their areas.
Kansas
Wheat spokespersons work hard to provide the public with valuable
information about wheat production, by-products and wheat foods.
These
hardworking individuals volunteer their time to assist Kansas Wheat in
meeting its educational and informational goals across the state,
including the Kansas State Fair.Kansas Wheat spokespersons also contribute recipes utilized in the popular yearly wheat commission recipe books.
For information about scheduling spokespersons to address your group meeting, or on becoming a spokesperson, please contact Cindy Falk, Nutrition Educator, (785) 539-0255 or cfalk@kswheat.com.
