2010 Harvest Salute to Kansas Wheat Farmers
Honor your growers
We invite you to kick off harvest in a big way by participating in the 2008 Harvest Salute to Kansas Wheat Farmers. It’s an opportunity to affiliate your elevator with a grower-appreciation campaign that will receive statewide attention in print advertising, on the radio and in the news.
You can play an important local role in the campaign by designating one or more days to celebrate at your location, using a free Harvest Tribute kit available from the Kansas Wheat Commission. It’s a low- or no-cost means of promoting Kansas wheat, the growers and your company.
Participation is easy…
The Kansas Wheat Commission will publicize the 2008 Harvest Salute with statewide print advertisements, radio commercials and special articles in farm publications. We need your help to make it happen at the local level, but we make it easy by supplying the posters, giveaway premiums, PR/advertising media and other materials you’ll need to make your event a success.
…and FREE!
The 2010 Harvest Salute doesn’t have to cost you a thing. Statewide promotion of the programs will be underwritten by generous corporate sponsors and the Kansas Wheat Commission. Your Harvest Salute promotion kit is free. It will include such items as:
» Three thank-you posters with space for your company imprint. Use them in your elevator, at the local post office or other strategic locations.
» 2010 Harvest Salute print ads with space for your company’s imprint.
» A radio commercial with room for your company’s 10-second tag.
» A press release for local news organizations, with space for your company’s contact information.
» Instructions on how to get the most out of your 2010 Harvest Salute kit.
» Promotional Item
Make it great
The kit is free, but you can pitch in, too — a little of a lot — depending on how big you want to make the event at your facility. Think about giving away cold soft drinks. Use the co-op advertising materials in your kit — print ads and radio commercials — in partnership with local media. Schedule radio interviews or a remote broadcast at your facility. Maybe you already sponsor harvest events. If so, feel free to tie the 2010 Harvest Salute in with your usual activities.
Let’s get started
It’s easy: send us an email. We’ll make sure you receive everything you need to carry out a successful 2010 Harvest Salute at your elevator. While you’re waiting for you kit, think about which day or days you’ll conduct the event.
Our growers are giving the world their best. Let’s give them ours by making harvest a real celebration of Kansas wheat!
